April is National Grilled Cheese Month!

HAPPY GRILLED CHEESE MONTH folks! In order to celebrate this delicious month I laid out some tips in making your boring grilled cheese sandwich into a mouth watering scrumptious delight.

  1. Add a mix of cheeses! Don't just slap on two slices of American, but spice it up with Pepperjack and Swiss. A blend of cheeses is delicious and always makes for a better sandwich than plan ol' American.
  2. Butter it up! Don't be afraid of the butter…butter both sides of your bread and lay it on THICK. When you go to grill, bake, or sear your sandwich in a pan it adds a nice, rich taste. And if you are worried about the fat that butter brings, margarine is a-okay.
  3. Honey Wheat Bread! Honey wheat bread is DELICIOUSLY HEALTHY and a step up from plan white bread. Or you should also go for deli select thick bread; the more cheese you use, the thicker your bread has to be.
  4. Accompany it with tomato basil soup! My all time fav! Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup will NEVER steer you wrong. And if your April is warm, then swap out that soup for a nice light fruit salad. Delicioso!
